Thaddus Franklin has been a professional musician, composer, and arranger since the age of 21. From his Chicago base, where he lived until 2010, Franklin was recognized as one of the most original and creative young musicians on the scene. In 2003 he received his Masters Degree in Music Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Since then he has performed, recorded and toured with hundreds of groups ranging from classical chamber, folk, Latin, flamenco, modern jazz, rock, pop, avant-garde, and electronic. Although trumpet is his main instrument he is also proficient at guitar, bass, drums, vocals and piano.
